For this task, concepts boards where made that follow the theme of all the choices; one for Urban Street, two for Space Settlement, one for Walled City and two for Mythical Forest. These were made to spike ideas for the thumbnails and the flats plans.
Urban Street Concept Board
The theme of an Urban Street is quite dark and has a old fashioned feel. This theme consists of dark and dull colour's which also strengthens the old fashioned feel.
Space Concept Board
The Space Settlement theme is filled with both dark and bright colour's and it gives of lonely feel. It also looks rather dusty and unclean. For this group, some good points of reference would be Mars and Mine-shafts.
Walled City Concept Board
The Walled City theme is made up of a mixture of bright and dull colour's and primarily made out of stone textures. A good example of a walled city would be Rome. This was a good point of reference for when the walled city group were gathering their research.
Mythical Forest Concept Board
The Mythical Forest theme has very bright colours which also helps strengthen the Mythical setting. There are many trees surrounding the environment and all these trees have healthy leaves which signifies life and hope.
